Tooka (Sculpture Type 01)
These little Tooka figures are portable good luck talisman. They are came from whole range of ‘Miniature Gods’ I made a while back and inspired the whole Tooka land thing.The idea was that you would keep your ‘Miniature God’ on a cord around your neck during the day and that you would benefit from the energies stored within. At night you would place your miniature god within a homemade shrine and charge him/her up with new energy for the following day. You would post little messages in the shrine to help you focus on any goals you had.

My name is Chris Toon.
This blog is a living artwork. It is a guide to and a repository for, my random infantile philosophising, absurdist surreal poetry and micro-cosmic paintings.
Tookaland is a collective name I have given to my current artworks and is at the heart of all my creations, it is located out side the existing blueprint of numbness and alienation offered by society. Tookaland is shifting landscape in which small creatures grow and characters evolve. In my blog I will guide you through many locations, and personalities featured in my paintings and sketches.
When you enter Tookaland you can leave everything else behind you and you may find a moment of freedom.
